Nightlife Branding & Visual Identity
Off The Record (OTR) is a premier weekly electronic music residency hosted at the world-renowned Public Hotel in New York City. As the event carved its niche within the competitive NYC nightlife scene, the challenge was to create a cohesive visual identity that balanced underground credibility with a high-end, premium positioning.
The creative direction for the logotype and brand system is deeply rooted in the lo-fi soul of analog media. Taking inspiration from vintage TV broadcasting, VHS glitches, and CRT monitor textures, we developed a visual language that feels like a raw, unauthorized transmission. This project transcends traditional event design, utilizing high-contrast geometry and glitch art to establish a powerful presence across both digital social media and physical stage signage installations.
